Something that helps me keep up with what is being offered is to have a clear idea of how I want to grow, in what areas I want to grow and to be very aware of what is available out there.
Through this blog post, I am sharing about several language education conferences available this Spring & Summer 2023. Though, this is not meant to be a comprehensive list. Also, this list is presented in no particular order.

CI Reboot!

Who is it for? World language teachers looking to be inspired, reboot, and recharge with everything comprehensible input teaching.
When is it? This amazing conference will kick off on April with pre-conference sessions, and it will be dropping sessions to its attendees until the July
What is the format of this conference? The conference is a live, virtual conference with access to recordings if you can’t make it to the live sessions.
What is unique about this conference? This conference offers regular one-hour sessions + “sprint sessions” that are no more than 20 minutes. It also provides you with the opportunity to ask presenters questions in a very cool format.

This is a FREE conference, but not only that, it is an IN-PERSON conference that will be taking place in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Also, it is organized by THE Maris Hawkins, co-author of Common Ground: Second Language Acquisition Theory Goes to the Classroom and Lynne Hendrick.

What is the format of this conference? This is an in-person event where anyone who attends can present. It also offers workshops on topics important to world language education.
What is unique about this conference? It is a FREE in-person conference designed by teachers for teachers to come together and discuss important topics to the participants. The edCamp model is used and for this reason, sessions are determined by participants on the day of the event.

In Person and in beautiful Savannah, Georgia this July - The CI Summit
Who is it for? World language teachers who wish to learn to implement ADI and CI techniques and help their students to truly acquire the language
When is it? It takes place from July 10th-July14th in The Hostess City of Savannah, Georgia.
What is the format of this conference? This is an in-person conference though a virtual conference option is also available.
What is unique about this conference?
- It provides structured training and the opportunity to learn in small cohorts.
- You will observe master teachers such as La Maestra Loca teach live language classes right in front of you!
