Conferences for World Language Teachers (Spring & Summer 2023)

Ever since my first year of teaching in 2013, I became what you call a “conference junkie” or “PD addict”. Attending conferences for World Language Teachers simply brings me so much pleasure through inspiration (unless they happen to be during my Spring, Fall breaks, or interfere with my long weekends, yet I still may attend if I can). I have managed to grow and continue to engage my learners thanks to the many conferences I have attended over the years.

Attending conferences provides me with the opportunity to learn from different voices, challenge my thoughts, appreciate everyone’s perspectives. My favorite part is most definitely being able to hang out with my PFFs!!!

Conference Time, Money, and Decision Overwhelm

The object of this blog post is not to criticize any conferences. Regardless of how small, conferences take a great amount of work to be well executed. With so many professional development offers out there and a tight budget, selecting the right conference can be a daunting task. As a result, I have had several questions in my inbox requesting more information about different summer learning opportunities. Therefore, here is the breakdown to help you make more informed decisions according to your budget and what type of learning experience you might be seeking.
