FREE Ready to Teach Resources for You Spanish Classroom After Thanksgiving 2023

Hey there profe! I always have the intention of making my blog posts shorter because though I don’t blog as often as I would like, thought I really enjoy it, I know it would help if my blogs were a bit more brief, so here goes an attempt!

After a great time in ACTFL23 in Chicago, I arrived home on Sunday around 11 PM with the intention of only taking Monday off to truly rest and recover, but guess what? I decided to make rest and my family a priority, and though I did not do what I had intended to do, I did what needed to be done, and have absolutely zero regrets.  I went out on dates with my husband, spent time with my sisters, and even took the time to go to a birthday party with my son!

This reminds me of an Instagram post I shared  in 2022 that still rings true today:

Though I still love teaching very much, I am a bit sad that we have to go back to work on Monday. I know I will bounce right back into it after Monday, but I can’t lie and tell you that I am not already looking forward to our December break 😅. I have to keep it real with you.

Personally, I will be doing a movie unit with my level three classes and a novel with my level two, but you bet I will be sprinkling songs in the mix. I hope to blog about this with more detail after all is done.

However, if you need ideas for these next few weeks, brace yourself because our Spanish #langchat community is so giving, so I am sharing with you a few ideas with links to free resources for your Spanish class 🎁🎁🎁.

FREE Blackout Poetry & Music Resources & and a HOW TO TUTORIAL

Last week, I shared all my free resources (instructions, samples, rubrics, and all)  to create blackout poetry with your students using the song “Gracias by Los Polinesios.”

Teachers who integrated this idea experienced much success with it! In case you haven’t seen it, here is the link to that blog post with detailed instructions or you can also click on the image below.

But that is not all, I know some people would like to see more of a step-by-step approach, and for this reason, I am hosting a FREE Maximizing the Power of Music Masterclass where I will be breaking down Blackout poetry and so much more!
